Why use Musos for Music Licensing?

When you write and record a song, you’re creating intellectual property with inherent value. All too often, the only revenue being generated from that song is from streaming services or album sales, which often amounts to only a small trickle. We’re here to tell you that your song’s inherent value is more than $0.004 per play.

Musos is in the business of selling synchronization licenses to the film industry. Every time a song is “synched” to video, that requires a license for the song and for the master recording. Song placements can range from a $500 local tv ad to a $250,000 + feature film opening credits sequence.

However, the film industry is not easy to break into. Music Supervisors often don’t have time to track down a song’s multiple writers or listen to every record, and also only work with people that they trust to deliver exactly what they need in the time they need it in, which often is a matter of a day or a few hours.

That’s where we come in. Musos has built a licensable, easily searchable online database comprised of the songs of the artists that we represent. When a film’s music supervisor comes to us they know that they can search for the exact mood or genre they’re looking for, and they know they can get a license from us right away.

In short, we’ve laid the groundwork for providing exactly what Music Supervisors need so that you can focus on creating great music!
